Ashlyn

Well, the sun came out, so a friend of mine and I headed to the same field I photographed a sweet family at last weekend. Her daughter was so much fun to photograph! Not only because she's adorable, but because she did everything I asked her to (with a lot of her own personality) and loved it! :) Thanks Shandy, I had a lot of fun....so much so that I have a lot to post for you!

The Lee Family

I am so excited to post these pictures, because not only is this family so adorable, but Ashley is a good friend of mine and we've been trying to get together to do her family portraits for a while. Yesterday was very cold and windy, but after having to reschedule a few times, we decided to go for it and brave the weather. I'm very glad we did, the clouds helped me get some fantastic lighting. Thanks so much Ashley and Skyler! Hope you like these.

Portraits

I was playing around with my camera, taking pictures of my daughter while she was on her brothers bed the other day. I loved the blue wall as a back drop. Of course I had to pull a few of her brothers in and try a few shots out on them too. It was afternoon and the window is west facing, so the light streaming in was just right. Sometimes these "spur of the moment" shoots end up being my favorite!

Caterpillar and Some Nature

My son found this caterpillar in our yard last week! I think he was last spotted sitting on a large mushroom blowing smoke circles in Alice's face, but I might be mistaken.

Baby Maggie

I cute friend came over and let me take some pics of her little one today. She is so sweet. I don't think I've worked with a baby this calm yet. She patiently let me move her around and never cried once. Here's a big taste for you Mary. Thanks for coming over, Maggie is beautiful!

Spider

My son and I found this spider outside our front door last week. It was the longest legged spider I've ever seen! It's legs spanned more than two bricks! Yikes.

This Blog

I've been blogging for nearly three years. When I first started, it was a way to keep up a journal of my family. My husband and I live far from our family, and it has helped us keep in touch with them. Throughout this past year, I've been growing very interested in photography. My family blog has been bombarded with pictures, which I love, but since I want to keep it as a "family" blog, I've decided to start this one and have it dedicated to my pictures. I'll be posting my favorite pictures and new discoveries, and hopefully anyone else who is interested can learn too.
